Who we are

What we collect, and why

• Pancake pre-orders: your name, mobile number, optional email and any note you add. Used to hand over your order on the day, and to contact you if the event moves or is cancelled. Nothing else.
• Giving details: your name, contact details, the amount you intend to give and optionally your street. Used to arrange your contribution, acknowledge it, and report back on the project you funded. (Tax-deductible certificates cannot be issued until our PBO application is approved.)
• Member accounts: your name and email address, held by our authentication provider, so that you can sign in and see your own records.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with our security or business partners. We do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for. Your street address is never published.

Where it is kept

Records are stored in a managed database (Supabase) with access restricted to the MAP executive. Payment card details are never held by MAP — when online payments go live they are processed entirely by PayFast.

How long we keep it

Pre-order records are deleted within 60 days of the event. Giving and member records are kept for as long as required by the Companies Act and the Income Tax Act, then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to mapnpc@outlook.com and we will action it within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
