Animal welfare

Tshwane SPCA support

Ongoing support for abandoned, vulnerable and rescued animals — food, warm blankets and care supplies — alongside MAP's security and municipal work. Care for local shelters is part of the same job as caring for the streets.

Why we do this

  • Animal welfare and protection

Essential resources — food, warm blankets and care supplies — for abandoned, vulnerable and rescue animals.

  • Holistic community upliftment

Social responsibility and care for local shelters, complementing MAP's security and municipal initiatives.

  • Legal and safe practices

Helping residents use the proper channels to report animal cruelty, neglect or illegal street vendors to animal welfare authorities and law enforcement.

How you can help

  • Pet food drives

Dry kibble, canned pet food and nutritional supplies for dogs and cats.

  • Warmth and comfort

Blankets, towels and bedding for shelter animals.

  • Community collection drives

Drop donated items at the MAP collection points during scheduled drives and outreach events.

  • Responsible reporting

Report suspected neglect, abuse or illegal pet trade directly to the Tshwane SPCA or the local authorities.

  • Sponsorship and volunteering

Sponsor supplies, back a MAP outreach project, or volunteer your time at the shelter.

Tax-deductible certificates will follow once MAP's Public Benefit Organisation status is approved. Until then we acknowledge every contribution in writing.

Tax-deductible receipts are coming once our Public Benefit Organisation status is approved. We'll write to everyone who has given when that happens.

That reference matters — it is how we route your contribution to this project rather than the camera fund.
